A faulty ignition lock cylinder may produce one or more of the following symptoms to indicate a potential issue:
Issues powering on the vehicle.
Vehicle not starting.
Issues inserting and removing the key from the ignition.

Ignition Lock Cylinder Recoding guide
A quality ignition lock cylinder comes with a key already coded to it. If you want to use your existing keys you must recode the lock cylinder.
